Happy Thursday! I hope that you all have had an amazing week and a fun Halloween. I am not a big fan of dressing up for Halloween so my husband and I just stayed in, cooked dinner, and gave out candy like we normally do. Boring! But in other news, I am SO EXCITED to share my first ever work wear blog post with you all!! This entire look is from Express which is hands down one of my favorite places to shop and has been for years!
So for those of you that don’t know, I used to work in corporate for 5 years previous to blogging full time. So I had to wear professional work wear 5 days a week for 5 years. When I started blogging full time I did get rid of most of my corporate professional clothes which is why I don’t normally blog about them but I am so happy that I picked this outfit up because I think work clothes can be SO trendy and so much fun. And I will say, there is nothing like going to your corporate job and knowing that you look good. There is just a great confidence booster to that and I really do believe that it helps you to perform better at work.
I decided to go with a black and red look because I feel like those colors are so classy and will never go out of style. My favorite part about this entire outfit is this red boyfriend blazer. There is nothing like wearing a boyfriend blazer. I think they are so fun to wear to work and they also make for an amazing chic look to wear out with jeans and a pair of heels. You truly can’t go wrong.
To finish off the red I chose to pair the blazer with this adorable drape front cami that comes in multiple colors. This is a great staple piece to add to your closet and can be worn under so many things including blazers, jackets, cardigans, etc. I then paired my tops with my favorite ever work pants; these high waisted sash ankle pants. I mean, how cute are they??? I love how they are high waisted and the tie belt just completes the look. These also come in multiple colors and if I was still working in corporate I would have every single color in my closet. They do fit true to size. I am wearing my normal size 2!
To make this outfit really pop I decided to wear these leopard print heels which I think are so fun and trendy. They do run a little big so I suggest sizing down at least one half size.
