Simple Gym Decor Ideas and My Must Have Products
Look for equipment that fits your space and budget
When planning out your home gym, it’s important to make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck.
Finding equipment that fits both your available space and budget can be a challenge, but luckily there are plenty of amazing options on the market to fit almost any home gym set-up.
Whether you’re looking for a set of weights, machines or something more creative, there are home gym essentials to make sure you get an effective workout in, even at home!
Also make sure to consider the space you’re working with.
Getting a Tonal like we have is an incredible way to be able to feel like you’re getting a full body workout without taking up a ton of floor space. You could even put this in the smallest of areas for a great home gym set-up.
Choose equipment that you’ll actually use
Heavier equipment like treadmills or a Peloton bike don’t come cheap, but investing in the right home gym equipment for you is key.
There are tons of options (and lots of fun toys!), but it’s important to make sure you choose items that fit within your budget, space, and fitness goals.
If you’re a researcher like me, take an inventory of your needs and wants, then do some research and find exercise products that suit those criteria.
Consider the lighting in your home gym
When we built this room as part of our outdoor space addition adjacent to our guest room, we knew this was going to be a gym so we made it all windows so we could have all the natural light.
Lighting is a key component to any home gym. Not only does it provide a safe and comfortable space to work out in, but adequate lighting can also help you stay motivated while working out.
Add some personal touches to make it feel like YOUR space
One way to do that? Neon signs!
Y’all I am IN LOVE with these neon signs that we got for our space and they’re the perfect way for you to personalize your gym and even add in an inspiring quote or two that will help keep you motivated during those workouts.
Plus, neon signs can really bring the room to life – literally – creating an energizing atmosphere no matter if you’re lifting weights or doing yoga stretches.
Keep it clean and organized so you can stay motivated to work out!
As a postpartum mama, it can be hard to motivate yourself to work out!
Not when you can have THE BEST SNUGGLES with this guy, right?
When you come in each day, the last thing you want to face is clutter and chaos. Instead, give yourself something pleasant to look at and spend time in; this gives you an extra incentive to get moving in the right direction.
Overall, setting up a home gym is a great way to get your body back after pregnancy and I LOVE having this space right in the comfort of our own home through our guest room.
From finding the right equipment to adding personal touches, there are so many things to take into consideration. But at the end of it all, you can create a space that works for you and helps keep you motivated!
So pick what’s best for your budget, figure out how to make it feel like your own space, and be sure to organize it so that you’ll actually use it. Taking these small steps will really help make this workout journey an enjoyable one – because if you take care of yourself now, you can set yourself up for fitness success in the future!
