We celebrated Harper’s FIRST birthday with all of our friends and family a few weekends ago. It was the most fun I have ever seen Harper have, she was totally in her element. Coming out of all of the craziness of COVID-19 and having a baby born during the pandemic, I really wanted her first birthday to be special and something to remember. I put an Instagram question box on my stories to ask for event planner recommendation and so many people recommended Alex ( @thesocialbunch_ ) and I am SO glad I worked with her. She is truly incredible at what she does.
Alex (@@thesocialbunch_) made the whole proces seamless from the very beginning to the end. I was never stressed out and she handled every single thing for me. She was there the day of the party so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I loved how for our first phone call, she came with a vision board so that we could envision what our theme would look like once it was brought to life.
She is SO responsive. Any time I had a question, she was so quick to respond. She is SO talented and she knows the event business so well – a true gem. I told her I am going to use her for all of Harper’s birthday parties from here on out.
Through her, we were able to work with lots of vendors for free in exchange for exposure! Each of these brands was truly amazing to work with and brought my vision to life so effortlessly.
Paper Lane Design did such an incredible job with the MileStone sign and the bar and gift table signs. I LOVED the milestone sign. We had all kinds of things on there: her name, her favorite things, and her metrics from when she was born! The colors perfectly fit our theme and it looked incredible. The bar and gift sign also matched the Milestone sign and matched the theme PERFECTLY – highly recommend using them.

Balloons were done by Say it With Balloons. I have worked with them before for my friends baby shower and they are truly amazing, I’ve worked with another balloon company before and it was a horrible experience. I showed them our Daisy theme and they brought the theme to life with their balloons (I mean look at the Daisy Balloons!!). It was cuter than I could have ever imagined and they are the sweetest people they are a pleasure to work with. They can do so many creative things in terms of balloon arrangements. I can’t say enough good things about them.

The Ball Pit was done by Little Hearts Mobile Play! This by far was one of the best things we had at Harper’s Birthday Party. The kids LOVED it and Harper was living her best life in it, she absolutely loved it. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without the ball pit, it allowed the parents to talk and socialize while our babies and kids were playing and having fun together.
You can also get decals put on the outside with the ball pit and ours came with a slide! They have so many color options for balls so they are able to fit whatever color theme you are going for. Everything is completely sanitized and cleaned very well, which was super important for me. They also give you a cute little basket to put your shoes in and a cute little sign to mark the play area!
If you’re planning a party for a kid, I highly recommend having a ball pit!! Especially if it’s with Little Hearts Mobile Play!

The wood signage and cake topper was done by 3Snoots Design Co and they did an amazing job. Each item matched our theme SO perfectly. I was so impressed and happy with how everything turned out.

The marque letters were from Alpha-Lit Charlotte and I absolutely love them. I have worked with them before for my baby shower (crazy how time fly’s – at my baby shower and now Harper’s first birthday). I just love the lit up lights, I think they are so fun and bring a really fun element into any party you are having. It makes everything look more bright and fun! We just decided to do ONE!, but you can do whatever word or lettering you want.
Alpha Lit is one of my favorite party companies to work with here in Charlotte!

Our venue was one of our absolute favorite spots in Charlotte – Legion Brewing South Park. I LOVE Legion. We spend almost every Saturday here. They have so many different spaces you can use to have parties. Highly recommend checking them out if you are going to be hosting a party, we’ve had friends do engagement parties here, birthday parties, and bridal parties here. The service is amazing, the food is amazing, and the beer is amazing. Can’t say enough great things about them or recommend them more!

Custom cookies were done by Sugar Butter Sass, she can customize anything you want and they were perfectly on theme. Plus they tasted INCREDIBLE.

The cupcakes and smash-cake was made by Baked By Ross. I swear everyone at the party asked where the cupcakes and cake was from, they were THAT good. If you need cupcakes or cake for a party, I highly highly recommend them.

The florals were all done by the extremely talented Everything Pretty Collective. They did an amazing job of bringing the One Wild Year theme truly to life with the floral arrangements. They looked beautiful and lasted for the whole party – cannot recommend them more!!
