Early Access-Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Happy Thursday everyone! The big day has finally arrived, the Nordstrom Anniversary Early Access Sale is here!!! So what does early access to this sale mean? It means that if you are a Nordstrom cardholder (debit or credit) you have access to the sale earlier than the rest of the public. This is AMAZING because you get dibs on some of Fall’s best trends before there is a chance that they sell out. Early access runs from July 13th-20th. It opens to the public July 21st-August 6th. I wanted to share some deets with all of you on the sale:

Why do I love it so much? I love this sale so much because it really is the best sale of the year. Most stores put things on sale towards the end of the season. This sucks for multiple reasons. One reason being that towards the end of the season most people are excited for the next season ahead and are looking forward to buying clothes for that. So you’re not really going to get excited about a huge Summer sale when Fall is just around the corner and you are looking forward to buying boots and cardigans. Another reason is that most of the popular stuff has already been picked through and is usually sold out when you have a massive sale at the end of a season. Nordstrom does this sale before the Fall season even starts which is usually unheard of. That means that you get to pick the best of the best for Fall. Nordstrom always has the best trends, the best brands and the best items. Having this sale early allows people to get access to the upcoming Fall trends at a ridiculous sale price. After the sale is over with, everything will go back to regular, full price which is why it is so important to shop the sale while it is here. 

How should I prepare? I always like to take a look at my closet and see what it is that I need for upcoming seasons. Some of the most popular items for Fall are cardigans, tunics, jeans, jackets, and shoes. I would take a look in your wardrobe and see what it is that you need. If you need more Fall shoes, I would start looking at the shoe selection first before things start selling out. If you need jackets, look there first, etc. Just make sure to have some kind of tactic in mind. I know I personally am really excited about the shoes and denim. I absolutely LOVE Fall shoes. Boots and booties are always the first things I look at. I always can stand to use some new jeans so I always look at those next. And let me tell you, this stuff is marked down at really good prices. You can find top of the line designer jeans for a fraction of the original price. So if you need some good denim, I highly recommend getting them now. The top selling items from last year were basic wardrobe staples such as tunics, jeans, and cardigans and the best selling brands were AG, BP, and Lush. 

What happens if I don’t have Nordstrom card? Not to worry! The sale is accessible to the public starting July 21st. There is a chance that some of the more popular items could be sold out at this point but Nordstrom does a really good job of restocking a lot of items for this sale. So if you do see anything that is sold out that you really wanted, make sure to keep going back to check to see if it has been restocked. There is a high chance that it will be. Also, remember that Nordstrom has the awesome option of ordering online and picking up in store. This helps for those of you who don’t have time to actually shop in the store but don’t want to wait on shipping.

I am also going to the Nordstrom store in Charlotte when they open today and I will be trying things on for you guys and giving you my reviews. Definitely stay tuned for that! I will help you pick through the best items and ones that weren’t my favorite. I will also help keep you guys posted on the most popular items, the items that are selling out the quickest, and any items that I see are being restocked.
