I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. This weekend flewwwww by didn’t it?? I can’t believe tomorrow is already Monday. Did anyone have any fun weekend plans? My husband and I actually went out for the first time in a while and it was so much fun. We went to dinner with my friend Liz and her boyfriend on Friday night at a place in Charlotte called Essex. It was the first time I had ever been there and I thought the food was SO good. If you ever go you have to get the buttered chicken. It was my favorite dish we got by far. On Saturday night we went over to a friend’s birthday party and then went out uptown Charlotte after that. It was a great night for sure. 

Saturday during the day I had my best friend Caitlin’s bridal shower. She is getting married on November 11 of this year and I am sooo excited. Being there and finally celebrating for her big day was so much fun. It just made me realize how special my friends are to me. Caitlin has been in my life for  almost a decade now and she is one of those best friends that you just hope to have in life. She is seriously the most humble, most generous, most loving, most trustworthy friend I’ve ever had. She has a beautiful heart and shares a love for the Lord with me and we have always bonded and had a special relationship because of that. She is marrying one of the best guys I have ever met and I just can’t wait to stand by her side on their wedding day. Friendships are just one of those things you never want to take for granted. I have had some crazy things happen this year and it just made me realize how special my true friends are to me. When you find true, good friends, you have to hold onto them tight and never let them go. True friends to me are the people who lift you up, who support you no matter what, who always have your best interest at heart, who you can trust with anything, and who will be there for you no matter what. I read a bible verse the other day that really hit home with me. “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend”-Proverbs 27:17. I got pretty lucky with Caitlin. 

Okay now that I am done with the sappy stuff for today, let’s talk about this kimono made by Band of Gypsies. I love kimonos in general but I especially love this one because it’s long. All of the rest of mine are short so it was fun that this one was a little different. I also love the print on it and all of the pastel colors that are mixed in. I style most kimonos with crop tops so I did the same with this one. I wanted to wear one that brought out the pastel colors in the kimono so I paired it with this blush colored wrap crop top. This crop top is one of my favorite tops I have ever owned, by the way. I posted it earlier this year in a different color. It is just so comfy and so flattering and the tie detail just makes it even better. I also linked some of my favorite white distressed denim for you guys. And to top it all off, my Dolce Vita Effie sandals are on sale right now in all 3 colors. These have been my go to sandals all Summer long so you should definitely grab yourself a pair.
